I love my job... I love my job with a passion that most people don't experience in their lifetime. I love my job EVEN MORE when I get to work with a bride that I've known since childhood. Britani and I were in the same dance company growing up, and I still remember sitting in our old dance studio and listening to Britani talk to the girls about how she had a big fat crush on Chris. So when she came to me about working on the paper goods for her wedding, I couldn't have been more thrilled!

Britani and Chris are going to get married on the beach in June (um, hello - PERFECT) so of course we had to incorporate the theme into her invitations! They were printed on bright white paper which was then layered over sea blue stock, hand-cut and assembled, tied with twine and topped off with the sweetest little diecut starfish tag.

Congratulations to Britani and Chris! Only a few more months until your big day, and I wish you all of the best for your wonderful day.

P.S. I have to throw in a shout out to my mother and best friend. The two of them took shifts keeping me company and helping out while I cut, assembled and stuffed all 810 (not kidding) pieces of this invitation set. You can never say that CADI invitations are made with anything less than a WHOLE LOTTA LOVE!

Matt and Maria Muessen of MM Film Studios did an absolutely phenomenal job on this video from our stylized shoot last month! This is a great example of the fantastic work they do, but also of how much work goes on behind-the-scenes for these events.

Again, I couldn't have asked to work with a better group of vendors!

These are a set of invitations that I created for the stylized shoot we worked on last month. Being part of this shoot was one of the BEST experiences. I had so much fun preparing, and an even bigger blast helping out on the day of!

Check out this modern, eclectic stylized elopement and see what this amazing group of vendors can do!

Today I'm showing off save the dates for a good friend of mine from my old dance company! Britani and I have known each other for years (we're birthday twins!), and I couldn't be happier to have been asked to participate in her wedding. I remember when she and Chris started seeing each other, and it blows my mind that now she's a bride! And before you ask, yes, they've always looked this disgustingly adorable.

Britani - I can safely say with my whole heart, that you are a stunning bride. Much more stunning than you (and I) were in our Dr. Seuss Creature fluffy unitard costumes a bajillion years ago. Don't worry, I won't post a before and after!

If you are anything like me, the holidays are a blur of work and gifts and plans and travel. It can get overwhelming, and sometimes you lose sight of the things that really matter.

I urge you to slow down and enjoy the most beautiful season of the year. It's a time for giving back, embracing your family, and appreciating all of your blessings. Stop worrying and enjoy making memories this holiday season. The memories will mean more to you in ten years than all of the parties and the gifts.

I appreciate you all more than you know. And I hope the next few weeks will be as beautiful as they can be.

Happy Holidays from CADI!

The first time I met with Allyson to discuss her invitations, she referred to herself as "disgustingly in love." I don't know about disgusting, but it is CLEAR that she and Kevin are head over heels for each other. He's been deployed for the past FOREVER and she misses him like crazy. He'll be home in mid-November, and I know she can't wait!

These were some of my favorite invitations so far! They were planned and sketched out on the dreamy beaches of Crete and were the first invitations to come out of my Richmond adventure. Allyson was an absolute DREAM to work with, and her classic-meets-princess wedding invitations were SO fun to make! (You know me, I love swirls!) And I LOVE that she went with an extreme horizontal layout. It makes her invitations even more unique!

I wish she and Kevin all the best, not only on their wedding day, but for the rest of their married life!

When things hit home, I hand-letter. (And apparently watch entirely too much Frozen!)
